Is there a setting that forces the selected frequency to be in the center of the spectrum/waterfall?

Hi David, assuming SmartSDR for Windows, a trick that I use is to click the plus sign in the lower left corner followed by the minus sign. This will leave you centered on the active slice at the same zoom level that you started with.

If you use SliceMaster, there is an option you can set that will do that for you.

I am a new FLEX user and do not know what SliceMaster is and I am operating remote into a club members' 6400. How do I tell if I'm using SliceMaster?

    Odds are you are not.

SliceMaster is an add on program that you can use to connect to the radio

    https://github.com/K1DBO/slice-master-6000

    Another one is FRStack

Both of these add some features you may like. Since it is not your radio, you may want to discuss it with the radio owner.
