Flex-6600 / SmartLink Remote not able to recover from network incidence
I have an issue with Flex not able to recover from network incidences that I would like to hear Flex community opinion (if any).
The thing goes like this:
- Reboot router and flex-6600 —> new IP -address leased, Upnp ports cleared —> Remote Maestro C + Laptop with CAT + DAX all works fine
- A few days gone: Maestro C works flawlessly , Laptop with CAT + DAX CANNOT connect but SmartLink TEST says all is good (green light) with Upnp allocating ports
- Reboot router —> None works remotely , SmartLink TEST (red) with Upnp not allocating ports
- Reboot router and Flex (cycle power) —> All works again
Has anyone seen this kind of behaviour before and if yes, how did you solve the issue ?
NOTE: all other equipment (station PC, Network station, printer ) in that same router are able to resolve and request Upnp routings with no issues.

are you using DHCP reservation or static IP for the radio to maintain same IP on equipment reboots?

Static

Is this Windows or MAC?
I have never seen that issue and I work 100% remote and depend on SmartLink for it. Describe more of your network. Are they any range extenders for WiFi or other devices similar.
You should not be able to use SmartLink from inside your own network to the same radio.
I run 100% uPNP and DHCP reservations.
Is there a particular requirement that you need your radio to be a Static IP address?
When this happens, do this:
- Take a screen shot of the uPNP ports in the router
- Take a screen shot of the port settings in SmartSDR in SmartLink setup
- Make sure the ports and the IP addresses match
- If on the same network, can you Ping the radio from the PC (or MAC)

Hi Mike,
Station site has following equipment (+ of course mobile devices that come and go)
- Router Teltonika RUT955 (industrial, mobile router)
- WAN through LTE (Measured 95 Mps down /42 Mbps up)
- Fibre not available in the station location
- LTE/5G cell 400 m away
- Upnp enabled
- Realtime monitoring through Teltonika RMS
- WAN through LTE (Measured 95 Mps down /42 Mbps up)
- Flex-6600 -Ethernet
- RFKit AMP -Ethernet
- Win 10Pro PC - Ethernet
- Netgear Nighthawk Range extender on Wifi (have tested without range extender)
- 3*Google Chromecasts on Wifi
- Mitsubishi MELCloud heatpump management on Wifi
Remote site
- Router Zyxel NR5103 Router (measured 200Mps down/45 Mbps up)
- Win10 Pro PC on Wifi
- Maestro C on Wifi
- 2*Samsung TV's on Wifi
Notes regarding the latest incidences
- Been running static or dynamic (but the router tends to give the Flex the same IP address every time) so fixed it on the internal network.
- You can run the Smartlink on internal network (but the addressing is local on the local network)
- Can ping the radio when on the same network
- Can ping the router from external network
- Just to clarify the Latest
- Maestro was working with the Flex6600 without problems on remote site. CAT and DAX were connecting properly
- Overnight, SmartSdr CAT and DAX running on Lenovo ThinkPad X Yoga had stopped working (unable to connect) but when were both indicating that Smartlink is working ok (green light, Upnp port allocation PASS) . I checked this also with my other computer in the remote site. PECULIAR THING IS THAT MAESTRO C WAS STILL FULLY OPERATIONAL
- Using my station PC on the remote desktop, was able to launch SmartSDR, CAT and DAX on the local (not smartlink)
- Rebooted the station router —> nothing works i.e. Flex received the same IP address but was not able to pass the Upnp communications
- Rebooted the Flex —> everything started to work
- I have had a few similar issues with Flex over the past week after he CQWW
- Maestro was not able to connect
- Rebooting router solved the issue
- A day after Maestro was again not able to connect
- Checked from the router RMS, Flex had been allocated TWO IP addresses and all kinds of peculiar things.
- Rebooted router - same thing
- Rebooted Flex - same thing
- Factory resetting Flex helped to resolve
- Maestro was not able to connect
This has been al with 3.7.4 so will upgrade the software of all these today when stopping by at the station and
Will collect these in a in a quest to understand where to focus.
Thanks for the advice.

Hi Ville
The above is useful, but it doesn't answer the big question.
- What is the IP address of the radio?
- What is the IP address of the gateway?
- Do you get an Green Test light? Is it still Green?
- Can you share a screen shot of the router uPNP settings or look for a program called uPNP Wizard https://www.xldevelopment.net/
- And, to double check, did you register the radio with SmartLink - you would know this if you had to hit a PTT switch as part of the process. It is a security feature.
thanks
