Flex 6600 Crashing doesn't work on Reboot

Hi,

Operating the flex 6600 in this weekend's RTTY contest. Software froze. Upon reboot of computer and radio, soft and hard reboot. Radio no longer works with smart SDR.

Error message says

Unhandled error has occured: Configuration system failed to initialize

And radio doesn't want to load SMART SDR no matter what I try.

Does anybody know what's going on and how to fix it?

    Shel,

    First, I would try removing the power from the radio for a couple of minutes, boot up the radio and try again.

    Second, I would try renaming/removing the SSDR.settings file on PC. Shut down SSDR. Using file explorer, navigate to %appdata%/FlexRadio Systems and rename SSDR.settings. Then restart SSDR

    Third, I would perform a factory reset on the radio. Shut down the radio, Press and hold the ON button until it turns white. Then let the radio continue booting up.

    Last, open a ticket with the Flex Help Desk.

    Today I encountered the same problem. The computer froze hard. After rebooting, the SSDR refuses to connect to the transceiver. Did you manage to solve the problem?

    Yes I solved the problem by renaming the setup file. This happened during CQ WW RTTY. I switched over to 10m and system froze. I reboot the radio and computer and smart SDR wouldn't get past the error message on program startup. Renaming the setup file worked. So far this past weekend during CQ WW SSB the waterfall froze once and on another instance n1mm locked up, but we ran the whole 48hrs with only those two issues.
