RXa antenna during transmit seems to allow too much RF ointo recoiever
Just started to use a RXa antenna port on my 700 but during transmit instead of the water going blank it shows a very large signal… is this harmful to the 6700 ???

No, not harmful. There is an option to show your transmit signal in the waterfall. I turn that off in my radio as I find it distracting.

Tnx fer te answer.. I misspoke in the question..it is not the water fall that show a large signal but the spectrum scope…normally it just shows a narrow signal but with the loop on RXa,it covers the entire screen// see photo attached

This is not a problem. If you are overloading the input ADCs, the radio will give you a warning.
Also, you cannot infer anything about signal quality from this display. You would need to be in Full Duplex (FDX) to accurately see what your transmitted signal looks like. If you do use FDX (especially with your amplifier), be sure to fill out the Flex 6000 Power Calculation Worksheet to make sure that you don't feed too much RF into the RX port.

This is normal and not harmful to the radio in anyway.
If you were overload the ADC, it will pop a message on screen to warn you.
