Just got the rig on the air yesterday. Working my way through the modes. Now SSB.

Problem: No SSB transmit. Using Pro 7 headset and plugged into C. Have audio in headset but Mic is no go.

Unfortunately there are a bunch of threads here on this already. Check this one just below yours here:

The Heil Pro7 has a TRS plug. I get audio in but nothing audio out. I checked out many of the posts on the subject. Most of the answers were either incomplete or terminology did not apply to the C.

    Hi Richard,

Just read through the post I provided. It specifically addresses the TRRS, TRS and TS problems with the Heil Pro7 used with the Maestro C. You need to either build or buy the adapter described.

Let me document some of my relevant settings:

Using the Maestro C Y Cable Kit:

The TRSS male on the Heil Pro 7 went into the female connector with the headset label

The 1/8" on the Heil went to PTT on Model C

M-HDST selected in the TX Menu, VOX Selected, MON selected, Mic is Default, TX: SO2R_TX1

    Profiles/MIC Profiles = Default

    Phone/CW screen: Bias=off,

That's It! Audio out is ok…Using MOX to xmit NOTHING.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Maybe some more information from me is required.

The PRO 7 has a TRSS mic/audio plug

The PRO 7 has a 1/8 male ptt plug

I have the Maestro C Y cable kit

The 1/8 Male TRSS from the C Y cable is in the Headset jack

The PRO TRSS is in the Y adapter female with the little headset marking

The PRO PTT plug is in the other female of the Y connector

    Phone/CW menu - Bias Off

TX Menu- M-HDST, Mic Default, TX Default

    Hope that helps
