Not sure what is up, has anyone else had this happen?

I am trying to decide if my antenna went south or if the recent software upgrade is no agreeing with me. I have an Force 12 XR5 that I use 20-10. @0m is a direct feed and when I put the antenna up 20m was essentially flat. 15m was 1.7 to 1. After doing the software up grade to all the Genius products here TGXL, PGXL and AG, the swr on 20 and 15 is 4 to 1. 17, 12 and 10 are all essentially flat. I'm not sure what has happened. I would think if it was an antenna problem all bands would be affected (but maybe not). Anyone else experience a swr change or at least swr dection change after upgrading their devices this last time?

Good question, but we need to narrow this down.

The first test you need to do is to add a high power dummy load after the TGXL and do the same test and chart it. It will help tell the story.

If you don't have one, these are good enough and they aren't making them anymore, and considering the investment in your station, they are very inexpensive.

Well it is something with the feedline or antenna….most likely the ant since not all bands are affected. At HP into a dummy load, tuner tunes, amp amps and everyone is happy. I put the tuner into standby with the antenna hooked up and at times everything works like it is happy but you can see the swr jump around. Tuner in bypass and 20/15 are not happy bands. Only here at Happy Valley do the gremlins show up in force. Not sure why all of a sudden things went wonky when they were working. Oh and I will be shopping MFJ at Hamvention for other goodies, you are right the dummy load above is very convenient.

The tuner inline does not like the antenna at all.

Please open a support ticket to move forward. Have you changed jumper cables?

Not sure if I need to open a ticket. I don't think this is a Flex/Genius issue. The swr is funny when I hook the rigexpert up to the coax and antenna outside. If you think a ticket needs opened I can do so.
