PGXL Power off?

I thought this was discussed previously but I searched and found nothing.

In any case, what do folks use to turn off the PGXL AC Mains power if the power switch on the rear is relatively inaccessible?

The only solution I can think of is a 2-pole relay controlled by a switch in a convenient location.

Any other ideas???

There are lots of discussions in the Remote area of the community if you want to find some history.

However, if you look for remote pool heaters you might find they work for you. You can find them on Amazon.

Mike… My question has to do with local control, but I suspect the solution is the same. I'm just thinking I can build a box with a relay and control it with a switch a few feet away from the PGXL.

Yes, you can home brew your own solution, but you should consider the required electrical codes. And, more importantly would such a thing void your house insurance should something happen?

I built my own using 12VDC DPST P&B Relays. They easily handled the current.

    Geoff,

Here is the way I made it work.

In post below there is a noise mitigation that works for me and if you scroll down, you can find information how i operate my remote switch.

    Good luck,

    Sergey
