A Screen Saver is needed for M Models as well as Maestro
I have a 6400M and I run SmartControl. Well, it seems that this screen can be seen when first turning on my 6400M. I know that the Expert MB1 has one. I don't understand why one has not been developed for Flexradio M models as well as Maestro Models. It's a shame to have one screen hard coded on a screen. If I can protect my monitor with a screen saver, why can't it be done for the M Models and Maestro?

Six years with the 6600M, often on 24/7, no problem.

Same here, been using a 6600M ever since they were introduced. As I mentioned in the Facebook thread you posted, not a single issue with the display. It is just as bright as the day I received it. The display on the M model radios and the Maestro don't have the problem some manufacturers displays have with fading or burn-in. I wouldn't worry about needing a screen saver. Enjoy your new radio.
