Audio Recording of Multiple DAX Channels
Hello Flex Community,
I am looking for a means to simultaneously record multiple DAX channels. I have attempted to do so with Audacity however, it allows only a single DAX input at a time.
I am seeking something like Audacity that will allow assigning multiple DAX channels to respective tracks. Are there any mixer software packages out there that will accommodate assigning DAX channels to multiple tracks for simultaneous audio capture/recording?
Thanks,
Craig

You can use VoiceMeeter.
Assign each DAX RX to an input and use the one board recorder.

Thanks for the pointers LZ2BE and VA3MW. I'll check your suggestions out.

I’ll put in a +1 for the Voicemeeter aka “banana” 😉

Is anyone willing to share their set-up for Voicemeeter please?
I have it installed and set DAX 1 to input 1 and DAX 2 to Input 2.
I can't see anywhere how you record though?
Ideally what I want to do is record through DX log so am looking for a way to take DAX1 and DAX2 and create a single output that can be used in another programme but obviously missing something here.

Typical, after posting this I got it going! Needed a virtual cable to achieve what I wanted, once that was installed everything is fine.
Also didn't realise that Voicemeeter and Banana are different applications, albeit very similar.

I don't have mine setup to do that, but the overview is:
- Use VM Banana at minimum as it has the built in recorder
- Assign 2 input channels (on the left side) to DAX RX1 and DAX RX2
- Assign your 2 slices, one for DAX 1 and the other for DAX 2 (in SmartSDR)
- You need to set up the recorder to record both those channels. Either click or right click on the tape recorder and you'll get in an input chooser (I'm on my MAC as I write this, so I can easily check)
- I can't remember if you have to assign your input channels to a Bus or not, but this is easy to test
- Hit Record when you are ready and stop when you are done. Watch the small level meters on the recorder
- The output will be in the Documents Voicemeeter directory
There are lots of videos on YouTube that will get you going.
