VPN and SSDR for MAC

I tried posting this yesterday, but don't see it - I'll try again.

Has anyone used a VPN (like Nord) and tried to connect and succeeded? SSDR for MacOS doesn't see the radio when I start it. Note, this is local use.

DogPark doesn't see the radio with VPN enabled.

I can ping the radio with Terminal when using the VPN, so it's seen.

And if I turn the VPN off, SSDR works FB, as does DogPark

Your post from yesterday did make it. :)

In order for a VPN to work and see the radio, the VPN has to pass the correct like of traffic and that is the broadcast traffic from the radio and be on the same IP Subnet.

SoftEther seems to do this very well. Not sure on Nord, but others may have some experience.

The fix for me was assigning a static IP for the radio.
