RJ45 Mic Connector On The New Maestro

Hi Everyone,

After a long wait, like Hamvention 2022 when I placed my order for my Maestro, it's finally shipping next month. Just curious if there's anyone who has ordered the Maestro before Hamvention 2022 so I can gauge the waiting list.

Back to my question. The New Maestro has an RJ45 connector for a mic connector. Is that connector for mic and PTT or just for mic. Then my follow up question if it's for both mic and PTT I have a couple of cables assemblies from Heil where the RJ45 connector bifurcates into two cables, one that terminates with a 3 pin XLR for a large diameter mic and the other cable supports a PTT switch. One cable is red and is for Kenwood radios and the other in yellow and is for Yaesu radios. Will either of these cables work?

I'm assuming, and that can be a mistake, that the A and B Maestro have a similar connector so has anyone traveled down this road in the past.

As always,

Best 73,

David

    Mike,

any chance we can get the quick start guide electronically - That will help figure out what set up we need to do for MIC, PTT, Key etc. I primarily want the Mastro for straight key via remote connection to my rig

  • Thanks Mike.

Mike, the user manual in the support list is for a Maestro B. I think David (and I) are waiting for new Maestro C's. I thought I saw something you published, where the new Maestro C didn't have the RJ-45 port for a microphone. The post had a picture of the connections for the new Maestro.

    FYI

I made a mistake on the RJ45 for the Maestro C as it will not be part of this model.

I have since deleted the post I made regarding it.

The C has a 1/8" TRRS for headset and Mic. This is a very common headset interface.

PTT will be on a 1/8" connector.

We will be building and selling an adapter cable that can be used with an FHM3.

    My apologies for the confusion.
