My Power Genius needs high input power (70W) to produce full output. Why ?

Folks,

Just installed my new Flex line:

  • Flex 6600
  • PowerGenius XL
  • Tuner Genius
  • Antenna Genius

Purchased directly from the USA, received this week.

A friend also has a similar (he has 6600M) set up and HE ONLY NEEDS SOME 25W TO DRIVE THE AMP AT 1.5KW.

In my case the 25W produces some 700W out.

Same issue on SSB and CW.

The power settings in my 6600 are at 100W.

SWR is 1.1 in the antenna.

I can get 1.5kW at some 70W at 50 Amps.

It seems that there is some sort of an "attenuator" in-between.

Thank you.

    Done.

It seems that there is no problem.

I just need to drive the Amp, depending on the band, with some 50-60W.
