I would email 4O3A and ask them. I have not seen anything published by them yet.

    Hello Mike,

Following your suggestion I contacted 4O3A.

    Here is the response:

To remove the front panel you have to unscrew 10 screws - 3 at each side, 4 at the bottom of the front panel.

There is only one flat cable attached to the front panel, carefully remove the front panel to a position where it will be easier to disconnect the cable.

After cleaning, attach flat cable to the front panel, and place panel at its position.

What type of filter is it? Can you just vacuum it to clean it?

Unfortunately they do not comment about type of filter installed.

This is a fairly old thread but I just cleaned mine, It has a foam washable filter. I washed mine with warm soapy water, rinsed, dried and replaced it.
The 10 screws said to be removed does not count the 6 screws to remove the amplifier top, the 4 screws to remove the filter housing or the 12 nuts with washers that hold the foam filter in place on the housing.

Just to remind everyone, we do have a ton of whitepapers written for just this sort of request.

This was written 2 years ago! :)
