FRSTack3 can't see the 6400 that's on the same LAN and same subnet

I am using FRSTack3 with SmartLINK in Win 11 for one of my remotes and it works just fine.

I have a second remote 6400 and running that one on the LAN side via WireGuard VPN. The radio works fine for voice and data and it's also in Windows 11. <-- not using SmartLINK

However, after installing the latest FRStacks3 (3.1.36.70) and starting it in admin mode. it never sees the radio. This FLEX6400 is on the same LAN and subnet as the computer.

Reading the first post, it recommends that I edit the FRStack3.exe.config file. I can access the file and edit it, but I can't save it. It says that I don't have permission. I have RWMD admin rights on the remote computer and I am able to make changes like registry edits, file updates, etc.

• Are they referring to my admin rights on this computer? (I could have messed up)
• What am I missing?

It sounds like your Windows Firewall is blocking the communications. You might want to look there first.

It isn't an Admin rights issue.

SOLVED - The firewall has two FRSTack3 entries.

• One was "Private" and "Public" while the other entry was only "private".
• I changed that to "ptivate"and "public" and now FRSTack3 works :-)
