ATU Not showing available
I am working with a new FLEX owner and his brand new 6600 does not show the ATU being available. I do not see any way of enabling or disabling it in the set up. Any ideas? It is physically in the radio. As well as the extended transmit.

He did. From talking with him it seems like a run around and excuse making event. The radio is a 6600. Which if im not wrong comes with a tuner by default. His radio has it installed but does not see it in the software. He also had the MARS add on added, but not able to TX out of amateur bands. And as a few moments ago, the ONLY person who deals with his issue is out and wont be back in for a little while. He has been considering simply returning it as he has received nearly nothing that he requested/paid for. For him this has been a horrible experience. He purchased a very expensive radio and has total regrets right now, and on a limited income. Not a good future business plan in my perspective. Yes I am venting for him.

To add a little. I am one who has since I met him has been expressing my love for my 6600. I guess that pushed him to purchase this radio. I feel very bad for pushing out my great successes with it driving hi to this horrible experience. I do not know if I will be able to express positive influence to purchase to others seeing this issue. It is the only one I have heard of but has been a nightmare for him.

If the radio is a 6600 and it doesn't see the tuner, then it needs to come back.
The support team has to make sure the operator is using it correctly. This is not uncommon for new customers who jump in with both feet.
They want to make sure that there is an actual problem with the radio and not just an operational issue. Sending it back is expensive for everyone. Sadly, we get a lot of radios returned for hardware repair only to show up with no trouble found. Then, we find out that the user was not following the correct steps. These are usually outlined in the User Guide.
As for MARS, he needs to supply a copy of his government license that allows him to Transmit outside the amateur bands. Once we receive a copy of that document a TURF file is created and sent to the customer.
If you feel your friend is getting the runaround, then email us the details to info@flexradio.com and we will get it to the Management team for that group.

I am pretty sure 'management' is aware of the issue.
His license was sent when the purchase was completed. Along with additional copies I believe yesterday and perhaps this morning.
Operator error? Not sure how that would apply to an internal component and software not seeing each other, meaning a disabled option button within the SmartSDR software.
This wont be solved by me posting about his situation. I am simply not very happy I pushed him into apparently purchasing and this all occurring..
