TGXL with PGXL

Member ✭✭✭

Will the TGXL put the PGXL in standby mode when you hit the tune button on the TGXL or do you need to put the amp in standby manually. My PGXL will be here next week and was just curious about that as I did not see it anywhere in the documentation.

At this time, it does not. That has been requested as a feature.

    Hi Mike,

Actually I believe it does work as WW1SS suggested. Here are 2 screen shots show how clicking tune on the TGXL app or the TUNE button on the TGXL itself will put the PGXL into STANDBY. At least it works for me...

What does NOT put the TGXL into standby is if you click the TUNE button the SSDR app. The PGXL stay in OPERATE mode in that case. And I think this is what some users have asked to be changed.

Screenshot #1 - BEFORE clicking TUNE on TGXL - note PGXL is in OPERATE mode

Screenshot #2 - immediately after pressing TUNE on TGXL, note PGXL is in STANDBY

When I press tune on the TGXL or its computer App it moves the PGXL to Standby mode if it was in Operate mode and keys the radio and tunes. After the TGXL finishes tuning it puts the PGXL back in the mode it was prior to pressing the Tune button. I am on the latest version of the software for both the tuner and amp, but it worked the same for me on the prior version.

    Ah, I stand corrected.

I don't have a TGXL on the same radio as a PGXL, so I might have missed that.

    My apologies.

Yes, it does. That feature was added quite awhile ago in a firmware update.
