Firewire Chip board Flex5000A

I entered the message but I don't understand why it didn't save.

Who can help me where the Firewire Chip of the two Firewire ports of the Flex 5000A is located on the PCB, I assume its blown.

I repeat my problem.

From evening to morning my Flex 5000A no longer communicates with the PC I think it all happened when I tried to change the firewire cable with a better one and involuntarily with the PC ON and the flex ON, I assume that the input has slightly reversed, maybe .

Previously when I turned on the Flex 5000a I heard the connection sound through the Din Don loudspeakers, not anymore.

I checked the green light placed near the input ports of the two Firewires, the green light is on and if I remove the cable it turns off, this on both ports.

I tested a Flex3000 and everything works with my Firewire card and with the two different cables

Welcome suggestions for further testing but I'm assuming the Firewire Chip is gone, where is it located on the pcb?

TNX in advance, Lou

    we found it

we proceed to deliver it to a technician for replacement. Delicate operation in unsoldering the 64 pin chip, 16 for side, it must be removed and replaced with specific tools

If you have the tools, you can use Chipquik (like a solder) to easily remove that IC. Amazing stuff.
