SSDR and DAX, CAT

When I shut down ssdr it automagically closes both dax and cat. I don't want dax and cat to close. Is there a way to keep dax and cat open when ssdr is shut down? I need them for loggers, skimmers, etc. while I am running from the front panel of the 6400M.

    Hi Fred

There are 2 parts. One is to uncheck the auto start for DAX in CAT, look for the gear symbol to make the changes. Set this to Select Radio...

When you change from SmartSDR on the PC and want to change over to the front radio panel you have to tell CAT and DAX which 'radio client' to connect to.

Mike I'm not sure I understand what you are saying about cat and dax. When I am running sdr and close it down to go back to the radio front panel is there a way to stop from auto closing dax and cat? I want to quit sdr but keep dax and cat alive. I seldom ever want to close dax and cat cuz I need them for 3rd party software.

You can start DAX and CAT without starting SmartSDR. Just create shortcuts to those two apps (which actually should have been done automatically in the installation). Then after shutting down SmartSDR, just start them independently.

In SSDR/W go to setting and uncheck autostart DAX/CAT... The start them manually when you need theM they will stay open when you close SSRD.
