Since I took the new 3.3.29 software upgrade my Maestro connects to my 6400 for about 30 minutes and then disconnects. Connecting again and runs for hours without disconnecting. Any explanation ?

Is the maestro wired direct to the radio? If not, try a direct connection, bypassing any router or switch and see if the problem is the same.

For clarification. I operate remote into my radio across town. Smartlink signal is good. Not wired direct from the modem but on wi fi. Wi Fi Modem is 6 feet away from Maestro. Any additional thoughts?

When it disconnects it is due to network communication loss. And, even though you think that be being close to the modem should make all the difference in the world, it doesn't. It is more complicated than that. It is a long story and well discussed in the community. I did a lot of testing on WiFi performance when the Maestro came out.

Since you are only 6ft away, can you run a cable to the modem just for testing? Using a 5Ghz Access Point (AP) should be more reliable.

Using a cable as a test will tell us if the problem is the WiFi or the internet path to your radio. Or, at least give us some clues.

Thanks Mike. I have connected my Maestro via CAT 5 cable, 5 Ghz to the modem and seems to be much better. Only one disconnect in the past few days. Thanks as always Sir.
