I'm running a 6600 with 3.2.39. When I'm on 6 meters and I hit the ATU button both the power and tune power go to 0. I cant find a way to increase the tune power. What am I missing?

Hi Ken... have you tried it with a dummy load attached? (Just to eliminate problems with Antennae/RF in the shack, etc.)

    yes I have.

Also it shows the sliders on SmartSDR at 0

Hi Ken, when you tried it on the dummy load, are you sure that you had the correct transmit antenna selected? If so, did you reset the sliders to a non-zero power before transmitting? (just trying to eliminate any obvious things)

If none of that is it, you might want to export your profiles and do a factory reset. If that does not help, then I would submit a help desk ticket.

I would look in your TX Band settings and make sure your Tune power isn't set to Zero.

Hey Mike. I checked that and I set them to 100 but when using the ATU it still goes to 0 on the sliders.

Somehow there is some corrupt/crazy config somewhere.

Ken, there are two settings per band in TX Band Settings, Power Out and Tune Power.

Check the Tune Power box isn’t set to zero. Maybe you looked at Power Out?

OK, that sounds strange. I could do the following:

    • backup your profiles
    • reset the radio
    • test and make sure it now works as expected
    • Re-import your profiles

Strange is correct! I did that and still got the same results. What is the recommended way to reset the radio.

    I'll try it again.

Hi Ken, you should export your profiles first, then from the off state, press and hold the power button until it turns white, then release it. Once it re-boots, try it again before importing your profiles. If that works OK, import profiles and try again. That should show whether there is a profile corruption issue.

If it still acts strange after the factory reset, I would submit a help desk ticket.
