I suspect you are using SmartSDR v2.4.9.  The next scheduled release of SmartSDR will be the SmartSDR v2.4.9 version with the fixes we added in SmartSDR v2.6.2 and v3.1.12.

This was communicated multiple times in multiple places, such as the latest release announcement.

No, that is not correct.  We will take the current SmartSDR v2.4.9 software and add only the critical fixes that were included in SmartSDR v2.6.2 and 3.1.12.  Other fixes of exiting defects will be in a later release.

    Hi Andy

You should not have an issue downloading at all.  Is it your AntiVirus that is killing.  We literally have it loaded on thousands of other computers.

And, consider what you read on the interweb.  People are more included to post negative comments than positive comments.  If it was a  problem for everyone you would hear about it .. a lot.

Many of use upload and downgrade radios many times a day without issue.

I appreciate this may be a bit foreign for you but if you ask here, many will confirm it works very well.

I am concerned that there is something else going on with your computer that may be impacting things.

Michael,  I never stated that I had a problem downloading SSDR. I have SSDR on board and have had it for over a year in order to use the Flex control and mouse on the computer.
I do not know why your neighbor VA3WTB made that assumption.
What I said was that I never had any luck downloading 3rd party programs etc.
He jumped into the middle of a post with out knowing what it was a about.
This is why I do not want to use the community, too many opinions. I will go with out.
We have each others phone numbers and email addresses if you want to talk about this.
    Be safe and stay healthy.
    .

One thing I have discovered about Windows 10, is that even with all protections off it still looks or unforced Safety rules. A way around this is to down load the app installer for what ever you need, like the latest Smart SDR version. And on the down loaded file, right click on it, then select the virus detector. Run it and if it test ok, you will be able to Run the installer. Works for me...,
