Maestro optional battery

Looking for current sources for a Maestro battery pack. Checked the usual places for Mogix 10,400 and Polfano M50000 but came up empty. Possibly model numbers have changed. I did find a couple with compatible size, but USB position can be critical. Any help with a reliable link would be appreciated. Thanks very much. Rich Albright W3OT

Bought mine last summer from Amazon. It is a pain having to take it in and out of the Maestro to recharge it. I would have thought that would have been resolved in the Maestro B version. It does work though in spite of the inconvenience in charging.

I posted a similar item some time ago. I checked the references. Then, I checked and checked and checked. Finally, I gave up. So I went to my local Fred Meyer which has an electronics section. I took my Maestro. The clerk was blown away. We opened packages and looked at ratings until we found a battery that fit and had the power rating. It was cheaper than any I found on the internet. I have been very pleased with it. Like another commenter I have to take it out to charge it, and it takes a long time to charge. Anyway, I am a happy camper. I wasted a lot of time checking when I could have done it all in a a few minutes while my wife was shopping for groceries. -Mike-
P.S. If it has any of the troubles I read about on-line, I will just replace it. It was that inexpensive.1 -
In situ charging of an external battery bank was deemed dangerous since a wide variety of batteries can be used where not all have the same charging requirements and Li+ batteries, when recharged incorrectly have had a history of catching fire or exploding. It is best to recharge third-party battery banks as per the manufacturer's recommendations.1
