Newbe here, with new maestro and 6400. Operating remote and no problem connecting from home smartSDR 3.1.8. My maestro only booted upp for two times, day three no luck - only blank screen with the meters in both upper corner on maestro screen.
Am I doing something wrong?

Sounds like you started Smart Control on the Maestro.

Hi Jonas When that happens some of the radio data is not making it through your network very well. The Vita49 data packets are being blocked. Is this while try to use Wifi? Let us know. Mike

I do not have a simple answer for you.  We would need to know more about your WiFi network and what is plugged into what.   Are you in an area with lots of other WiFi as other WiFi access points will impact your performance even if they aren't yours.  It doesn't really matter how close you are to your WiFi access point since the wifi radio frequencies are all shared.  It is how WiFi is designed so everyone can stay connected.

Make sure you are using 5G WiFi when you can.  You might find it works better.  You might want to try a Low Bandwidth connection and see if that is better.

As a test, can you use the Maestro with a LAN cable connected?  Make sure you have the Maestro plugged into AC power.

From the screen image, a slice (aka VFO) is not active - enabled.  Touch the large blue square at top left corner to turn on VFO A.

You are using a power supply and not a battery, correct?

    Hi Jonas

We have a simple test that I would like you to try.

Using the LAN cable that came with the radio, can you plug 1 end in the radio and the other end in the Maestro (start with both units off).

Turn on both the radio and the Maestro and see if the Maestro works like you think it should.  If it does, then we know the Maestro and the radio are working correctly.  If not, then we have a problem with either the radio or the Maestro.

If they do work, then there is some sort of slowdown in your home LAN network.  It could be any piece that the radio traffic travels through.  A band LAN cable, router, WiFi access point, etc.  And, yes, I have personally seen bad LAN cables.

Make sure they are CAT5 or CAT5e cables.  CAT6 works as well.
