Unregister a Radio

I recently purchased a used 6400 radio.  Is it necessary for the previous owner to unregister the radio?  If he does not unregister the radio can I still register it?  Is there anything I have to do in order to get future updates to the V2 software that's installed?

Hi Al,  

Most of this is covered in:

Would think you could do all of this yourself, as it is basically wipes the slate clean.

And as the license is RADIO specific, you will stay with the highest version that radio is provisioned for.

I think Steve pretty much covered it.

When you do a SmartLink setup and set it up on your login credentials, that will complete the movement to your SmartLink account.  Remember you have to do the PTT part as well.
