Hi,

Once again Flex came through with a solution. I could not get the upgrade to version 3.x to work. I could not get the radio to recognize I had paid for an upgrade. In stepped Eric, KE5DTO, with a solution. This is a new house and wired for high-speed internet access. We have 1 Gb service. There is a modem in the garage. There is not a router anywhere. Central in the house there is a little black box (literally black) that established a WiFi hotspot. It is not a router! I opened it and it uses a WiFi chip and a couple of other chips. My 6500 is directly plugged the computer. Eric found a means to get the update done without a router. I could not ask for more-- Thanks Eric.

    Not only one of the nicest guys on the planet  but Eric is also one of the smartest. In fact, his whole team is a-grade talent. Thanks to everyone in Engineering!

    Good to hear, my friend had a similar problem and they went above and beyond. Good to hear good stuff and not arguing all the time

    I've gotta pile on as well.  I had a similar experience with Eric too.  The guy is simply phenomenal.  And I agree with Neal, the whole team is just outstanding.  When people are this good, it seems like you just can't say enough about it...
