Hi All and happy new year,
I am new to flex radio and have purchased a 6600 with the maestro with the intension of using it remotely.
I have a yeasu FL-7000 solid state amplifier, is it possible to link it to the flex for band follow when I am away with the maestro.
Thanks Brian.

Yes, should be the same interface as the Quadra. I use a a usb ftdi cable off Amazon. A quick search for Quadra here should have the information you need.1

Yes, but you will need to wire your own cable to connect to the amplifier. You will need this cable http://cart.flexradio.com/USB-to-Parallel-adapter-for-the-FLEX-6000-series_p_1001.html which connects into the back of the Flex 6600. That cable will send Yaesu BCD data to the amplifier.
The SmartSDR USB Cable Interface Guide can be found at https://www.flexradio.com/downloads/usb-cable-interface-guide-pdf/. While it does not have the FL-7000 listed, you should be able get an idea from other devices listed there.

Does anyone make these cables that anyone knows of? I too have a 6400 with yaesu fl 7000 but I’m no wiring guru. I do have a cable that I used from my yaesu 991a to fl 7000 but that’s a no fly.0

Mike-VA3MW Administrator, FlexRadio Employee, Community Manager, Super Elmer, Moderator adminOptionsHi Scott
There is no premade cable, so you may have to finish/make your own.
This is the cable https://shop.flexradio.com/usb-to-parallel-adapter-for-the-flex-6000-series/ for the radio end.
The USB cable guide can be found here: https://www.flexradio.com/downloads/usb-cable-interface-guide-pdf/
Maybe someone can make up a cable for you if you are not able to.
