60M operation with ver 2.3.9 software

TUNE and MOX functions are not working on all 60m channels using software version 2.3.9 running on Flex 6600M.

Neither MOX or TUNE functions will work on 60m CH-3 (5366.5kHz) regardless of CW or SSB operating mode.

The TUNE function does work in CW mode only on all other 60m channels.  The MOX function works on all 60m channels except CH-3.

To adjust an antenna tuner, I have found the TUNE function only works in CW mode.  MOX function can be used with single tone SSB modulation as well.

Why is the TUNE function locked out on all 60m channels when in SSB mode?

This was answered several times on the reflector.  This is from Tim:  Here is the issue.  In USB mode, the TUNE carrier is on the suppressed carrier frequency (what is displayed in the slice frequency readout).  60m is a channelized band, so that frequency is technically always a band edge.  If you do a TUNE operation on that frequency, some of the RF emissions are outside of the channel (out of band).

You need to change to CW to do a TUNE operation or tune up in frequency about 100 Hz and it will work

I found the problem with CH-3.   The new CH-3 frequency assignment is 5357.0 kHz and not 5366.5kHz.  TUNE function now works in CW mode, but not MOX mode.

OK Jim-K4JAF, thanks for the explanation. 73, Geoff
