Broken DAX channel

I'm using Slice Master. DAX channel 3 was OK. Then I inadvertently closed a program hooked to DAX 3 via Slice Master. Now, no program gets audio from DAX channel 3. DAX 3 shows audio on the DAX control panel. Tried resetting computer no change. I looked inside HRD, under the sound card selector. I found double DAX 1, 2, and 3 channels. I'm using 1 and 2. Doesn't seem to matter which number 1 or 2 I choose either works. I looked inside Device Manger, com ports appear normal. I looked under audio devices inside Device manager, the Flex stuff looks correct there as well. Using latest SmartSDR and 6700 Win 10 1803. Not sure this has anything to do with the latest windows update at all.

I almost hate to ask the question, but have you powered down and rebooted everything?

Bob:
OK, I powered down re booted. So DAX 3 is working. However, I have double choices for DAX 1, 2,. They seem indistinguishable functionally. All that I posted otherwise in the original post remains true. All OK under Device Manager with respect to COM ports and Audio devices.

Double choices? Do you mean under the RX streams you see DAX 1 twice and Dax 2 twice? That's bizarre.0
-
That is correct, I see double choices for DAX 1, 2 and 3. Choose either one, they work.0

I have no clue...but that's not unusual.0

Tim,
I followed your dicrections here https://community.flexradio.com/flexradio/topics/important-notice-windows-10-update-1803-precautions
And it worked for me. Nothing else would. Thank you for posting it. Redmond never did do a good job of copying the Mac OS.
