PowerGenius Shipping Update

It has been a few weeks since Gerald had indicated that he was late on an update and still there has been no release of any update on the PowerGenius XL Amp.  Normally "No News Is Good News" but in the case I am not sure.   As I and many other will be in Dayton in little over than a week, it sure would be nice to get an update before that show.   Maybe one that says "We are Shipping!" would be nice but at least an update.   What say Flex?

With Dayton coming up Flex is under some pressure to respond.  I hope the pressure does not lead to an update that is impacted by that pressure.  I also hope that Flex has chosen a good partner in this matter, I'm beginning to wonder about that.

The people Flex is working with on the amps has been doing this for a long time, I see no reason to question this.
People should understand that ever since the news of the amp coming it has been in development and still is, but close to finishing as Gerald mentions.

It would be nice to get an update soon.  I am usually very patient but it has been a year since my order and this is my slow time of year at work when I can actually play radio.  Would also be nice to get an update on the antenna tuner.  That is the main reason I ordered the amp early was for the antenna tuner.  With as many of them out in the field getting tested I am hoping that the amp is close to production.

Folks.... Lets keep the coments in line with the original comment.  Let hope that an Update on the Amplifier is forth coming.  I wold assume that concerns about a reparable partner were answered over a year ago when the first Prototype was shown.  Now the first production units have been out and back and now out again for testing.  Gerald indicated that he was sorry for the lack of an update and would be getting one out soon.  Let the folks at Flex respond.  Remember.....  Amp Only TNX

Is it realistic to ask this question every couple days?

This last weekend (two days ago, about April 29th 2018):

Testing is going well in one regard and that is our testing team has really put the amp through a multitude of operating scenarios that has stress tested various subsystems of the amp.  Some of the tests would not even be ones that a ham would do with the amp.  The alpha team is doing exactly what we asked of them and it has generated exactly the type of results we have anticipated.  This has resulted in a better and more robust amp design than the initial builds but at the expense of time.

The finalization of the hardware is close, as the project manager has indicated.

When we get to the next step of deployment, there will be an update from the management team.

Pretty certain the next official FRS updates will be discussed here at the community.

As frustrating as it may seem the FRS also goes pretty quiet in the run up to Dayton each year - I imagine a mixture of "keeping their powder dry" and just plainly being busy getting ready for Dayton.

If you have a pre-order in place you might want to follow up on that order to see if you can get any personalized update, but kind of think not so much... and if you're just kibitzing I'd guess you too will be watching the community and official FRS website for any updates.
