What is the offical way to connect a receive antenna (small magnitic loop) to the 6500 series? Have searched but not found a good way to do.

    Hook it up to the XVTR port and then select the XVTR port as RX antenna.

    XVTR or RXA port. Easy and safe with a BNC connector. You can use either of the UHF ANT connectors, but recommend you not, since it is possible to transmit through them. That’s bad for the loop :-)

    I was gonna say.. -perhaps the RXA or RXB bnc ports.

    On a 6500, it would be the RXA BNC port.

    You could also use the XVTR port , but the TX/RX switching would probably be cleaner with the RXA.

    I agree with others, I wouldn’t recommend using the ANT2 port for a receive only antenna, especially if it has active devices in it.... that is a disaster waiting to happen if you forget and transmit into it. BTW... For those with a 6300, which has no RXA port, 6300 users would need to use the XVTR port for receive only antennas.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
