Factory reset question

Dave - W6OVP

I'm going to sell one of my two 6300s and want to reset it to factory. It is currently standing alone. Can I just add power, press the button until the blinking white light appears and let it do it's thing, or do I have to attach it back to a computer and set it back up again in order to do this right?  TNX.  Dave W6OVP.

No need to connect to a computer. Your first described approach will reset the radio to factory defaults with whatever version of the firmware you installed last. Good luck with the sale.

I find this very vague. Do you first bring up SmartSDR using the computer, and, then, initiate the reset with the power button?

    No to bringing up SmartSDR.

This "Can I just add power, press the button until the blinking white light appears and let it do it's thing" will suffice.

When you are ready to sell it, I might be interested depending on price and options.
