cat and dax problems after windows 10 update with ver 1.621

Hi Guys

My Cat and Dax functions stopped working after i received a windows 10 update i uninstalled smart sdr ver 1.6.21 and reinstalled it like in the past but this time it did not work. any ideas? I own a flex 6500.

Go to your device manager to programs and features and be sure FlexVSP is installed.

Hi jim I have it installed. I also have the same problem with 2 other computers doing the same thing

I had the same problem and cured it by COMPLETELY uninstalling FlexSDR a procedure which Tim has carefully written up. However, there might be better solutions from some one other than I as I only had that problem once.

On my Win 10 computer I need to install SSDR with Administrator privileges. In your download directory right click on the SSDR install file and Run as Administrator. Hope this helps.

My CAT never works either, she just lays around the house.. hahaha.. sorry..

Make sure there are no ghosted com ports.. then just reinstall SmartSDR CAT or should I say run the "repair" service on the FlexVSP.

Hi,  I also have the same fault.  Since windows 10 update SmartCat shows error on COM4.  I checked the device settings and it shows two FlexRadio Virtual Serial Ports under 'other'   I have followed all instructions as per this thread and still not working.  Windows 7 still works fine.
