Unhandled Exception 1.6.17

Well, everything was working ok for a day or two. Suddenly I am getting un-handled exception messages a couple of seconds after connecting to the radio (see attached image). Configuration is 6500 direct connected to Win7 with a FlexControl. A complete un-install was done of the prior release a couple of days ago before an uneventful install of 1.6.17. The only issue I had was the need to change the port for the FlexControl.
Please help...
Thanks, Ron

In order for me to test something, unplug the FlexControl and tell me if that stops the unhandled exception messages.0

I disconnected the FlexControl, and rebooted the radio and computer. The error did not appear. I have attached the CAT details.
Thanks, Ron

Sorry for the delay - I was out of the office yesterday.
Try plugging the FC into a different USB port and then set the com port to a very high number, like 200 using this procedure: https://helpdesk.flexradio.com/hc/en-us/articles/202479329-How-to-Change-the-Com-Port-Assignment-for...0 -
I actually found the link you provided by further searching the forum. I set the port to a high number and it solved the issue. I thought I had closed this ticket, but perhaps I was not successful in doing so. FYI, I had another issue with the FlexController working erratically. I found another post suggesting to tighten the knob **** (imagine that), and that solved that problem also. The forum works!
Thanks, Ron K2RAS0
