Suggestion for a feature - split button with a preset split for 2nd slice

As a DX op sometimes I need to be really quick setting a split .. idea would be a one hit button that you can hit that sets a slice up at a predetermined split - ie slice A is on 14.020 and I have an instant split button with a preset offset of +1, +2, +5 etc all ready set - to go split I hit SPLIT button and its automatically sets up a 2nd slice +1,2 or 5 up (or down if programmed) and sets slice A as TX - my 590 takes me a second or 2 to set a split and sometimes even thats too long when the DX says UP 2 :)

    DDUTil does this. What it does not do yet is set audio balance to place DX left and calling freq. slice right, or some balance in between.

    As stated earlier DDUTIL allows you to set up split buttons for whatever split you want.  Also the DD6AUP command in DDUTIL allows you to set the balance of audio between the right and left speakers.  Jim K4JAF

    In DDUTIL I have assigned a macro to one FlexControl button, to make split +1 and put slice A on left ear and slice B on right ear. And another macro to remove slice B and restore audio balance:

    Split on:  DD6SPL01;DD6AUP0:000;DD6AUP1:100;

    Split off: DD6AUP0:050;DD6AUP1:050;DD6SSX0;DD6SRV1;

    It works very well.

    My N4PY Pegasus Plus has exactly this function using the Flex Control buttons.  There is an "UP 1" and an "UP 5" button selection.  And you can press them multiple times to add more to the split.  With split off, pressing UP 1, sets VFO B to VFO A +1 and makes VFO B the TX slice.  Each additional press of UP 1 adds one more to VFO B.
