Lol. is is interesting how people must validate their opinions by credentials here. If I said I have over a thousand forums with a PHD, would that make my opinion carry more weight? I don't care what of ones back ground,  It is still an opinion.

We do petty good here I think, when some one says something that is very misleading or bad info we correct it as best we can. I think there are some here that makes it their job to do Flex harm and they may not even own a Flex as they claim. Anything Flex says on here are often twisted around to make them look bad. I hear some of them on HF twisting info or spinning it.

A few of us have been caledl Flex boys or what ever, so be it. I just don't like comments when they are unfair and misleading on purpose, then I speak out.

So that's my opinion, right or wrong, I have one.....

Well said Bill. I would say more about those people, but I am not a qualified psychiatrist and only have amateur opinions, albeit backed up by treating 30-40 patients a day for over 33 years.

But unlike the rest of the features mentioned for ver 1.4, FreeDV can currently be done equally as well if not better by using a third party application. Not including FreeDV would not prevent people wanting to use it from being able to do it.

"The general release of SmartSDR v1.4 will occur when our system integration testing clears the remaining defects and yields the feature quality you and we expect.  Thank you for your patience while we complete this important process."

Since this question has been answered and people have had more than an ample opportunity to express a wide ranges of comments and opinions, I am closing this topic at this time.
