Initial DSP observations for v0.16.4

NR does cut down on noise, but it severely colors the receive audio on SSB. Thankfully I can change the RX EQ and make stations understandable again. I haven't noticed much change with the adjustment slider. I am not sure what parameter it is changing. I need to run more tests. It did seem to make weak CW signals a bit more easy to copy on a noisy 40 meters last night. ANF, on the other hand seems to be very effective, quickly blanking a S9+10 CW signal down to nothing but thumps with a microsecond tone burst at the beginning of each element as the notch finds it again. If the notch would persist for a half a second or so after the offending signal signal disappeared, then it would completely blank out even a CW signal. This will be handy to fight off the QRM'ers jamming the nets, etc. I didn't have my usual power line noise last night in order to test the NB. I look forward to seeing how effective it now is. (But I hope I don't need to!) So far, all three are a good improvement over V. 0.15.3 and the previous ones.

Ken, i can confirm you test NB - no chance to test - no power line with noise at the moment, but in combination with NR and both slider in high position - audio blocked ANF - effective on strong signal only, low level carrier or CW signal both well copy NR - one level of the noise reduction(but not sure this is a noise reduction) - no reaction on slider. DSP definitely is a point for attention again and again!

Pardon the spelling....Opservations = Observations ...my **** fingers occasionally miss the keys and I haven't found out how to edit a subject title! In any case, I haven't tested the ANF on very weak signals. I assume that the slider adjustment will set a threshold for this function. NB... I had noise for four days before getting the new V. 16.4 release. The night I made the download, the power lines were quiet. Go figure!

ANF seems to work well on USB but I don't seem to see any affect when using LSB, but I need to test this further!

Already fixed in 0.17.4 earlier this week. Thanks.
