You can check what Windows thinks about the Flex Control by going to Control Panel->System and Security->Device Manager and looking for the Flex Controller. Double clicking on the controller. Working properly etc.0

You probably have an orphaned com port that is conflicting with COM4. You will need to change the com port of the FlexControl to a very high port (like COM45) so there are not any conflicts. If you do not know how to do this, please submit a support ticket via our HelpDesk (http://helpdesk.flexradio.com) so we can assign you a case number. For details on how to submit a HelpDesk support ticket, please refer to the following URL: http://support.flexradio.com/ Once the support ticket is submitted, a support engineer will be in contact so we can work on the issue. Make sure to include your radio's serial number.0

well after I unlock the radio for Mars , the flex control started working! thanks1

I had trouble getting the FLex Control knob to work and then remembered that I needed to plug it in BEFORE booting up SmartCAT, SmartSDR, or powering up the radio. When I did it in that order, it seemed to sort things out OK. BTW. The knob is really nice, and will be even much better when fully implemented.... things like variable steps, one button select of slice, ability to control other functions with the function buttons, etc. But I know it is coming.0

OK everybody, when I unlock the radio for Army Mars operation, the Flex Control started working. I have no idea why , but it's working0
