Speaker mute using keyboard space bar

Member
edited March 2017 in SmartSDR for Windows
Discovered that after you click on the speaker control on the SSDR screen to mute it, that you can then alternately unmute and mute the speaker output by hitting the space bar on your computer keyboard. Has anyone else noticed this ?

Jim, I had not noticed this, but it mimics what PowerSDR does. As long as PowerSDR still has the focus, the space bar repeats whatever the last mouse click was. 73, Ray, K9DUR

Thanks Ray for pointing this out. Doing a little playing with the space bar, I find it can act as a toggle for several items on the SmartSDR display. The several fly-outs on the RX frequency window can be toggled with the space bar after you have first selected them with a mouse click. I'm not sure what the intent was behind this, but it certainly will be most interesting to see what is to follow.

This is a very old Windows feature that hitting the space bar will repeat the last program action.

Great feature. I use the space bar for "push to talk," is once it has been previously selected.
