Ive got the Maestro-C working great on Smartlink. Tune power and CW transmit is fine. The mic keys the Maestro on USB/LSB and I see the level meter responds to my voice. (The meter that starts at -40dB) On AM mode I get RF out, (very low) and again no audio on top of the AM

Ive poked around in all the menus but there is no RF output showing. Mic is an FHM-3, using the Flex Y-cable connected to PTT and HDST on the Maestro.

Anyone out there knows what's happening with this? I have not tried any re-boot of the radio yet. Appreciate any help. 73 de W4AWI

A few things to check and double check (I'm writing all the details for others):

    • Make sure you have the correct MIC input - you likely do if the MIC level is showing
    • Keep an eye on the MIC level all the time - it is the on that says LEVEL on it (you are on the right one)
    • Go into the TX MENU (push the button - right side middle - push the knob in). It says TX MENU underneath it. Or, touch the RED RF PWR icon and the TX MENU pops open
    • Make sure the DAX box is NOT checked. (I suspect this is your problem)
    • Mode is USB or LSB

If that doesn't resolve your issue, reboot the radio and double check all the above again and test. If that doesn't resolve it, please open a support ticket.

Let us know how you make out.
