Aurora resting Fan RPM?

I love the Aurora and am very happy with it except I've been having problems with fan noise (52db at idle. I have already posted here earlier and filed a ticket). As I wait for a resolution I was wondering what other Aurora users are seeing for resting fan RPM?

My Aurora 520M main fan does not ever go below 1276 RPM. This is just in idle receive with one client connected. PA temp is usually 27C (80.6F) and voltage shows 11.94V. If I go into heavier tx for testing - for example 30 minutes of ft8 at 150W the PA temp rises up to 30C (86F) and fan RPM still stays at 1276 to 1280 while keeping the unit at a max of 30C (which is impressive but leads me to believe I should have a lower fan RPM at rest)

I'm wondering if other users ever get lower idling (no tx) fan RPMs or does the Aurora rest at around 1276RPM?

Any thoughts or other comments on your fan RPM / noise level would be appreciated.

    The 11.94V is for 12V supply only. There are 2 48V supplies in series that each have their own fans as well and they are not available for reading by software as they are built into the power supply.

    At 1200 RPM, the fan you are seeing is a 120mm fan in the middle of the unit and is on all the time to move air through it by design.

    When you go to FT8, the PA's do not get much hotter. Maybe 8C above air temperature or a bit hotter the higher in frequency you go (up to 20C above ambient on 10M) . This is the advantage of running in Class D. You can't compare the Aurora transmitter to any other radio.

    My idle fan speed (you can see it in SliceLogger) is 1324 RPM with the air temp at 28C.

    52dB is pretty quiet unless something is rubbing against the actual fan.
