Updating 6300 to SmartSDR v4.2.20

I deleted 4.2.18 from my Windows 11 system. I then began the installation of v4.2.20. While updating the 6300, it seems that the firmware update has stalled. The yellow progress bar is at 100%. The power light on the 6300 is purple. It has been sitting in this state for the past 30 minutes (or longer). I'm afraid that this will render my 6300 unusable with an incomplete firmware update. I'm at a loss as to what to do. Any advice?

Hi Doug, power it off, then back on. It will not likely be bricked. If that doesn't work, power it off, then do a factory reset. If it comes up with 4.2.20, you are all set. If not, try the upgrade again. If you just can't get it to upgrade after a factory reset, submit a help desk ticket.

I now think my 6300 is hosed. I'm afraid if I cancel the SmartSDR update, my 6300 will be unusable. It's been sitting at 100% for a solid hour.

Hi Doug, it is very unlikely that you have a big problem. If it has been that long, nothing else is going to happen. I would just power it off with the front panel button, then power it back on.

Well, fortunately that worked. The update proceeded again but completed successfully.

Hi Doug, I'm glad that was it. Every once in a while someone has this issue, and the solution is always to shut down and start it back up.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
