PPT / rca Flex-6400M and DAX input TX

I need to use a transverter connected the Flex-6400M to TXing via the rear RCA/PPT connector.
When using CW, everything works, but when I select DAX as the digital input, no power comes out. The DAX level on the PC increases, but not the power. To make the DAX work, I have to select PTT via CAT. Then it works.

Is there a way to make it work in digital with DAX as the input but with PTT via the rear RCA and no ptt via cat ?

Thanks

Can you provide a video as I am trying to understand what isn't working here.

Basically, if if you Transverter goes into TX when you push the MOX button or PTT switch then you have the transverter correctly configured.

In order to have power, you need the audio to make it into the radio, and this is why you need DAX turned on in SmartSDR.

I think you have answered your own question and that to have RF out, you need to send a CAT PTT command. That is the way the system is designed. Is there a reason why that will not work for you?

Mike, thanks for the reply, but the problem is there. I would like to have a working input with DAX but with manual PTT. This is necessary because when using transverters, sequencers, preamplifiers, etc., the rx/tx sequence and vice versa must be performed externally to switch all the relays and then the Flex will have to output the power. If the switching starts from the flex via cat/ptt, even the maximum delays are not sufficient to guarantee safety. You confirmed to me that the Flex was designed to use input from DAX only if the PTT is performed via CAT. I will have to find another solution, such as not using the DAX and sending the digital audio via cable to the USB microphone input.

This is actually not required because the sequencer in the radio is very intelligent unlike other HF radio.

RF is actually delayed until all the timers in the TxD and Sequencers expire. You can read about it in the Hardware Reference Manual in Section 16. This prevents how switch overs.

If you want to test it, set TX Delay to 1000ms and see if the RF is not sent until 1 second after the request for the radio to go into transmit.

I use the ARR sequencer board. I have 4 of those sequencers and originally used them with a highly modified yayschmoo 736r. Tower preamps solid state driver amps and tube finals. I've moved on from that setup and whipped up a single band for 2m..for now. The ptt line and the tx 1,2,3 rca jacks work differently than other radios. i use ptt on a footswitch for ssb, slow semi breakin for cw, and cat and dax on digi. Radio still does all the keying. I do have 30ms set into Transmit delay. Same as i use on my alpha 9500 hf amp... or six meter converted titan...

Tx1 9500, Tx2 6m Titan, and the keyline for 2m comes off TX 3 to the input trigger on the module. Key ptt and my external sequencer goes to work. The first relay keyed is tower T/R either a single coax preamp bypass relay or two coax separate receive line ( my preferred) the timer delays and then the second relay keys the final amplifier. Temporarily i am keying a 160w mirage which might be a driver in a 1500w final setup. My last station had 100w ccs always on drivers no t/r... and with the flex you can set the tx delay to 1000ms easy if you wanted as mike stated. You dont need that though. I key the relays go ting ting ting ting unkey and they unkey in backards order. Works great... best setup for a transverter radio. Tx delay controls the rf out time. I prefer my tried and true system to just loading up the radios tx jacks and using the built in sequencer ability, either way rf can be delayed. I can flip the sequencer off and nothing in my 6500 needs changed. Hope you followed my line of posting.
