I need help connecting my new Flex 8400 to my new Mercury Lux 8400

I need help connecting my new Flex 8400 to my new Mercury Lux 8400.

Manual is confusing. Flex's youtube video is even more confusing.

Can anyone here help me?

I already purchased the Band Data Cable from Mercury.

Is there anything else I might need?

And what settings on the Flex must I adjust?

Thank you!

Is the cable a FTDI usb cable?

Yes, I purchased it from Mercury Lux. It is two cables that plug into each other

If it doesn't show up on the Radio USB Cable configuration, then it is not the correct make of cable. You may want to check with the Mercury people to see what chipset it is.

It defineity shows up on the Radio USB configurations…so I don't think that is the problem…

Anyone know if are there settings in the Flex software that must be adjusted to connect to the Mercury Lux?

Also, must I connect RCA connectors for the Flex 8400 to work with the Mercury Lux? On my Yaesu FT DX-10 I only need the coax jumper and the band data cable for it to work with the Lux….

    What am I missing here?

How did you configure the Cable within SmartSDR? Can you show some screen shots?

You do need to make sure the baud rate on the Amplifier and the Radio match. I suspect the amplifier also needs to know that you are connecting to a FlexRadio (or a Kenwood TS-2000 will work too).
