Flex 8600M cw keyboard

Is it possible to connect a PC keyboard to the Flex-8600M to work on CW?

Not directly. But yes via either a hardware or software interface.

Software types are SDC, N1MM, FLDigi etc.

Hardware types are microHam family, WinKeyer USB Chips, MFJ-464 etc.

Direct fails because a USB keyboard will not be recognised and the CW jack expects simple electrical contact closures whereas a keyboard sends digital data.

I will take a shot at this… If you run the 8600M "AND" utilize SmartSDR on a computer you can run CW via the Keyboard of the computer. Under the Tab "CWX" when opened you will see, at the bottom, a selection noted as "LIVE". Select that button and the selection will turn RED. When you press any key the radio will key and the CW Letter or Letter will be transmitted. Hope this helps.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
