DXlog, SO2R and OTRSP problem
I'm playing with SO2R settings of Flex 8600 and DXlog, everything works perfectly, but I noticed a terrible delay when I set an OTRSP port (necessary for SO2R), whether COM or TCP.
For example, in SO1R mode and without OTRSP, if I press the F1 key and immediately ESC, the transmission stops immediately, with the OTRSP port set, the transmission stops even a couple of seconds later, it is not reactive at all.
Has anyone noticed this behavior? Am I setting something wrong?

I can say that I have used SO2R on N1MM remotely without issue.
Try looking at the OTRSP log in SmartSDR CAT and see if you see the command and how long before you hear the difference. It will tell if the slowdown is on the radio side or the software side.

Hi Mike,
I just learned from close friends, that the problem is not OTRSP (with N1MM works FB here), but the communication of DXlog winkeyer with Flex radios.
From what I learned, it is a known problem, I will write to the DXlog developers.
Thanks for your reply Mike.

Hi folks,
actually a problem still exist and it makes it at this impossible to use DXLog as contest software with Flexradio (using 6600 here).
DXLog developers says, the problem is actually not in DXLog, and they are waiting from your side to clear it.0 -
Can the DXLog developer get in touch with our engineering team?
He knows how to contact our engineering team as he knows a number of them personally.

Hi Mike,
I don't think I'm someone who should mediate between both teams, but since you know each other, SM7IUN and K1XM are here on the DXLog side :-)

I agree. He is aware of the process to get to the root cause.

Another possible issue, but I am not certain, is getting DXLog to fully recognizing SSDR WK emulation. This may be an operator error on my part so if it is please ignore. I can not get DXLog to command a change in cw speed in the SSDR WK emulator like I can in another logging program : ). DXLog works fine business commanding the Win key usb hardware and I also got it to recognize the SSDR WK emulator however I can not get DXLog to command a change in cw speed in the SSDR WK emulator using DXLog commands. Like I said this may be an operator error. I will keep trying to fix this on my own but if there is a way to help DXLog command a change in cw speed while using SSDR WK emulator that would be neat.
thanks

I've been testing for a couple of months, and the only time it worked correctly was with DXL versions 2.6.17 and 2.6.18.
The WK in SO1R mode works great atm also with last version, but as soon as I activate OTRSP on the DXLog, to operate SO2R, it's a total disaster. I press F1 to make CQ, but as soon as I press ESC to interrupt the transmission, it stops with a delay of at least 1 second, essentially losing all the responsiveness it has in SO1R mode. So the problem maybe are the OTRSP?
No problem at all with N1MM

I cannot use DXLog with Flex radio for long time especially in CW contests as the auto message F1, F2 etc… make the radio crash. No issues at all with SDC Contest or N1MM…
