DAX RX Streams Driver Error

I spent weeks trying to configure HRD and gave up. (strong help never materialized) All kind of COM port errors. Now trying FLdigi which may be simpler. In the DAX control box there is an RX streams driver error. Not sure when it started.

I re-started SSDR but it wont help. Im just using 1 slice. Here is a screen shot. Anyone know what's up? Flex 6600 Windows 11. The radio is usable for CW and voice, OK with direct mic and key inputs.

    I've opened a support ticket as well. Same error message popup since the cumulative Windows Security patch on Sunday. I've also done the usual recommendation to uninstalled and resinstalled SMART SDR, DAX, Drivers, turned off core isolation, etc.

    After a week waiting on support from the help desk I went deep under the windows hood and down too many rabbit holes, all without success. I did learn that the root cause was a busted cumulative windows security update resulting in missing and corrupted DAX endpoints along with issues installing/removing programs, broken windows services (including camsvc) and many AppX registration errors

    I decided to go ahead with an in place Windows 11 repair upgrade versus a fresh install. This way I could preserve my existing data, settings, drivers and related files.

    Summary:

    • Download the Windows 11 ISO from Microsoft’s official site.
    • Mount the ISO (right‑click → Mount).
    • Run setup.exe from the mounted drive.
    • Choose:
      • Keep personal files and apps
      • Install Windows 11
    • Let Windows reinstall itself (20–40 minutes, several reboots).
    • Log back in — your environment is preserved, but Windows core components are rebuilt

    All is good now.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
