Stacks and XVTR Power Limit
When I'm using an XVTR on 2 meters and the PGXL is in operate the power slider is limited as if I were using the amp on HF. I do have that limit set in Stacks unter the PGXL settings.
Is there a work around for this?
The solution I've found is to make sure the amp is in Standby.

How do you have the Amp configured for Transmit? How is your transverter PTT configured?
This document should help with the PGXL part.

The PGXL is Ethernet connected on the LAN with the 8600 and TGXL.
2 meter transverter and power amp are assigned to TX2 and TX3.
I don't see how any of that matters as the problem is related to the PGXL power limits set in Stacks4. It doesn't recognize that when the XVTR output is used the PGXL settings should be overwritten.
Everything else works as I expect.

Geoff, sorry, I'm trying to comprehend what is not working, but I think this is an issue with FRstack, or it might be working as designed.
Can you send some screen shots, or a video would be even better. Drop it in YouTube and provide us the link.

Mike…I think I can describe the issue and yes, I believe it is an FRstacks problem.
In Stacks you can set drive limits with and without the amp in operate mode. For example I can set the output limit on the 8600 to 30 with the amp in operate and 100 with the amp in standby. So, in PGXL operate mode I can't push the power slider past 30.
The trouble is that if I am using the transverter, and the PGXL is in operate, the 8600 power slider is limited to 30. This necessitates that I put the amp in standby to use the transverter with the power slider past 30.
So, Stacks would have to recognize that I was using the XVTR output and not an ANTx output. Probably not easy to do given that I could have another slice open using one of the ANTx connectors.
I hope that is clear and thanks!

This sounds like an FRStack issue as I don't think it knows or cares what the Transmit antenna is set to. This would explain why your Max Power issue goes away when it is standby. Check with the Author to see if he might make some changes for you.
