Use of LINE Input

The SSDR user guides are pretty outdated in certain areas and I can't find ananswer there so here I am…

On an 8600, and other models, there is no dedicated Line input jack. Instead, the line input is located on the accessory connector. In SSDR the Phone/CW panel has a dropdown that includes LINE. There is also a button labeled +ACC.

Do I need to just select LINE from the dropdown or do I also select +ACC?

What is the +ACC button used for?

I could find no reference to these in the User Guide.

    Well, it look as though selecting LINE from the source dropdown does use the input on the 15-pin accesssory connector.

    So….what is the +ACC button for????????

    And, what is ACC in the dropdown?

    Unless I'm missing something this is the latest info regarding the audio input dropdown:

    Audio Input drop down (default MIC): Clicking on the drop-down box will display and allow
    for the selection of the primary audio input source. The audio input options are MIC (front
    panel 8-pin Foster connector), BAL (XLR balanced input) or LINE (TRS line level balanced audio
    input), ACCY (rear panel accessory connector and PC (uses the default Windows recording
    sound device). The audio inputs XLR and LINE are only available on the FLEX-6500 and FLEX-
    6700.

    Clearly needs updating…

    The SSDR user guides, while a bit old are still current for this sort of thing.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
