Maestro C crashes when spinning VFO

I have a peculiar issue. Every once in awhile when I give the Maestro VFO A knob a good spin, the Maestro just crashes. Sometimes it just disconnects from the network and reconnects by itself. Other times I have to actually reboot the Maestro with the power button. Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Yikes! That is poor engineering. Any form of user interaction that crashes the system should be investigated and changes made. I am glad my iPad doesn't have a warning label to not swipe or scroll with vigor! 😳

Which version of Maestro and what version of SSDR?

When you do that, you are sending a TON of commands to the radio in a hurry as that is not really what it was designed for. It is possible the NIC card in the Maestro can't keep up.

Ok. Well that makes sense. It's kind of like the behavior I see due to my presumed network problems we're talking about in the other threads. But sounds like this is completely unrelated. I'll try to throttle down my VFO spinning :)… Thanks!

Maestro A, 4.1.5, but pretty sure it's been happening on my brand new Maestro C also. At this point it is becoming clear that this also occurs intermittantly with a fairly normal tuning rate. Is this a known problem or is something wrong with the knob on both devices? It happens often enough to be annoying. At the moment I am having no network issues.issues.
