High SWR False & Shutdown

I have a 2021 PGXL with a 6600. Shows a false 2.5:1 SWR then instant shutdown. The antenna is a tuner under the 43 FT vertical. After the tuning process and SWR is at 1.4:1 to 1.7:1, verified by an antenna tester AND a digital power meter on the desktop.. I can run the 6600 up to 110W (full out) and its fine. If I run the PGXL to a similar 120W it shuts down for 2.5:1 SWR.

I then used an oil can dummy load with a 1:1 SWR verified by the SWR meter. The PGXL shows SWR ranging from 1.5 to 1.7. When I raise the exciter power so the PGXL is around 500W It starts the power reduction step and warning. On a 120V outlet for now, however this used to provide 600-700 out in the past.

To be clear: The 1:1 SWR on the dummy load shows 1.5 1.6 or 1.7 on the PGXL PC window.

Similar issue on all bands except 80m. The network disconnects and reconnects 2 or 3 times while I was testing. I saw some messages about this very same issue in the past but no resolution besides opening a service ticket.

Im hoping I might do some adjustment and avoid the shipping costs and service costs.

Any help or updates on a solution?

If you can confirm that the problem is not the dummy load or the coax (try changing both or even the length of the Coax) and the problem still happens, then you'll need to open a support ticket and odds are you'll have to send it in for a Spa Day.

Yes Ive made all kinds of tests, including 2 different dummy loads. I bought it from another ham and he probably knew of this issue., Thanks for the reply.

I do have a 2nd PGXL and put that in service and all is perfect so it wasnt a shack problem.
